Trucks are loved by millions of Americans for a lot of different reasons. They are tough, rugged, perfect for off-road driving, they can tow thousands of pounds and have great storage capacities. So, if you don’t know which truck to buy, you should check which has the best towing and storage capacities, since they are the most important attributes of every truck. There is a wide range of trucks out there, some with bigger, others with smaller cab sizes, and various bed lengths, while one common thing for most trucks is that they burn a lot of fuel. However, that doesn’t seem to bother consumers, as the other qualities trucks have outweigh the poor fuel efficiency.

International CXT

The CXT is the largest pick up truck in the world. Weighing 14,500 pounds, it’s 21 feet long, and 9 feet tall. It’s a four-wheel drive vehicle, and it comes with the International DD 466 diesel engine, providing 220 horsepower and 550 lb-ft of torque. It’s obvious that a truck that size has some serious towing power. It can tow up to 40,000 pounds, but it only gets about 10 mpg, which is the price you pay for driving such a large vehicle. It has a 70-gallon fuel tank, and an interior with a 5-seat capacity, featuring reclining captain chairs, and a fold-down bench, for an increased storage capacity. The International CXT comes at a base price of $93,000.

Chevrolet Silverado 1500

This is a smaller truck compared to the International CXT, but offers very good performances, nonetheless. It has a 3.6-liter, V6 engine, producing 195 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. It has a very functional interior, with a flat floor at the back of the cab, which creates more storage options. There is an open storage bin in the front armrest, and 170 degree opening rear doors. As far as towing is concerned, the 6-speed automatic transmission and the auto grade braking help it tow large, heavy trailers even down steep roads. It also has a towing capacity of 16,700 pounds, which ranks it among the best tow trucks out there, and it can be yours for $23,590.

Ford F-350 Super Duty

This rear-wheel-drive truck is equipped with a 6.2-liter, V8 engine, with 385 horsepower and 405 lb-ft of torque, and has a 6-speed automatic transmission as a standard option. It’s highly praised for its hauling abilities, with a payload capacity of 4,930 pounds, and a 14,000 pounds towing capacity. It has hill launch assist system, telescoping steering wheel and trailer sway control

Tips for Moving On a Budget

Moving to another location is not always easy; it can be stressful, time-consuming and financially challenging; however, there are some tips that will help you make your next move easier and less expensive.

Because most of us have a lot to pack up, packing costs can rise quickly. To offset this cost, there are things you can do such as bringing together packing materials early rather than waiting for the last minute. Some people have the habit of accumulating boxes throughout the year, and it is a good way to save on them, if there is any plan to move to a different location. Ask friends and neighbours, too, if they have any empty boxes you could use.

It is necessary to keep in mind  that if your move is related to your job, you may be able to save on taxes. Also, moving is a good time to get rid of items you seldom use or don’t want; so start gathering all that you no longer use or that has been lying in the storeroom for the last couple of years, have a garage sale and make some money out of it. Alternately, give them to the Salvation Army and get rid of unwanted stuff to reduce your carriage charges. By getting rid of things you no longer need, you will make your move much easier and economical.

In addition, you can also save money on your move by hiring movers who are professional, efficient and known to be timely in handling such relocations. To do this, go online, talk with those who had a good experience with a moving company and find out which would work best for you. Be sure to get several bids from at least three companies. In this way, you can compare rates.

Because most of these companies charge on an hourly basis, you want a mover who can do the task as quickly as possible. You can find out about the speed and accuracy of a mover by looking at online reviews for each company.

You can also lower moving costs by packing up your items early. If you wait until the movers show up, it will take much longer and they may also charge additional cost. Also, if you plan to lead or follow their trucks to your new home, it will help, if you place in your car or van things that are easy to move and are essential in day to day basis like towels, bed linens and items for the kitchen.

Moving doesn’t have to be a hassle or expensive; all it takes is planning, effort and finding bargains at discount stores.
